Privacy & Security
Paperly is designed with security and data protection at its core. Schools trust the platform to manage sensitive information — including contact details, medical updates, consent forms, and communication records — so safeguarding that data is essential.
All information shared through Paperly is transmitted securely and stored using recognised industry-standard security practices. Access to student information is role-based, which means only authorised school staff can view relevant records. Parents and guardians can only see information connected to their own child or children.
Every action within the platform — such as form submissions, updates, or approvals — is recorded with timestamps. This creates transparency and accountability, while ensuring a clear record of communication between families and schools.
Keeping Safe Online
While Paperly is built to be secure, keeping your account safe is a shared responsibility.
We recommend that you:
Use a strong, unique password for your Paperly account
Avoid sharing your login details with others
Log out when using shared or public devices
Keep your contact information up to date
If you receive a message that appears suspicious, always check that it has come from your school or an official Paperly address before clicking any links.
Online safety is a partnership between families, schools and technology — and simple precautions go a long way.
Unique Family Situations
Paperly is designed to support a range of family structures, including separated parents, guardians, carers, and blended families. Access to a child’s information is managed by the school in line with their policies and any relevant legal agreements.
Where shared parental responsibility applies, both parties may be granted access where appropriate. In cases involving specific legal or communication arrangements, schools can adjust permissions accordingly.
The platform supports flexibility, but schools remain responsible for determining appropriate access in line with safeguarding and local legal requirements.
Security or Privacy Concerns
If you have questions or concerns about how your information is being stored or used, your first point of contact should be your school. They control how data is managed and can explain how your child’s information is handled.
If you suspect a security issue — such as unauthorised access to your account — contact your school promptly. They can review access logs and take appropriate action where necessary.
